The Honors Program in General Education

The Honors Program at Mason offers highly motivated students a challenging and rewarding academic experience. Most Honors classes have an enrollment of fewer than 25 students, ensuring that Honors students have the opportunity to be known and mentored by distinguished faculty during their first years on campus. The focused curriculum fulfills the university general education requirements, regardless of major, while developing skills to address complex issues and problems. Through participation in the Honors community -- both in and beyond the classroom -- students learn to think independently, imaginatively, and ethically.
